Thursday Baby Update: Talking up a storm

Vegan Goodness:
Today we ate:

  • Breakfast: Green smoothies for Dad and LP and rye toast with butter for everyone after Mom and Baby IP finally got up.
  • Lunch: Dad and LP had leftovers.  Mom had lunch on-the-go when she went into work for the day: hummus, pita chips, red bell pepper strips, some pear slices and some peanut butter cookies.
  • Dinner: Pizza night! Both pizza’s used the white bean pizza topping from Vegan on the Cheap.  One was an olive, artichoke and red onion pizza, while the other had red onions and tomato slices.  Both were delicious but LP’s favorite was definitely the olive pizza, as usual.
  • Mom and Dad finished off this batch of peanut butter cookies after LP went to bed.

Money Matters:
Today the kids and Dad were in for the day while Mom went to work.  Nothing spent!

Thursday Baby Update:

Baby IP has been a busy girl this week.  Now that she is awake for longer during the day she is practicing her moving and her talking.  She loves to kick her legs and swing her arms, and she is getting better and better and grabbing things with her little hands.  She really likes her toy keys and little stuffed bear the best.  In fact, when she is crying LP often runs to get one of those toys to give her because he knows they are her favorites.

IP is also working on her talking!  She loves to say “ah-goo” and has been trying to blow raspberries a little bit.  She has got a long way to go, but she is working hard at it.  She loves to sit in our laps and just watch us and “talk” to us.  It fun to have some nice quality conversation time with our little girl.
