Thursday Baby Update:
I love carrying IP around in our Ergo carrier. I loved carrying her around in the Moby wrap. There are lots of logical reasons to love baby carriers. They are portable, the make it easy to carry your baby and also grocery shop, carry some tea, keep an eye on your three-year-old, etc. I find them so much easier to deal with than a stroller.
But, as IP gets older (7 months now!) I’m reminded of the other, main, reason I love these carriers. I love having my baby snuggled in close. She is getting bigger every day, and I’m trying to enjoy these short period of time when she will put up with being held, snuggled and carted around this way. I enjoy looking down on her when we are out for a walk and seeing her look back up at me with a big smile, or looking at the side at the world going by. It’s magical when she lays her head on my chest and sleeps as I walk around. I know she won’t be little forever. Someday she’ll outgrow these carriers. Which is why I cherish our time with them so much now.
