Delicious Vegan Dish of the Day:
Update: Up until this week I have posted a report of almost everything we ate the day of each the post. When I first thought about doing that my goal was to show all the things that vegans do eat. After nine months of these posts I hope that I have made my point: there is quite of bit of abundance in a vegan diet. However, this posting has also made it clear that reading about what a family eats can get a bit tedious. I mean, how many smoothies do you have to read about! So, starting today, I’m going to just post one thing we ate today that was especially delicious and/or exciting. I hope this will continue to inspire readers to enjoy vegan food – or, as I like to call it, food
The G-man made one of my favorite breads to go with dinner tonight – rye! He uses a no-knead recipe from Cooks Country, and the bread comes out delicious. No special “vegan” substitutions needed!
Money Matters:
Today we spent the following:
- $2.15 for tea – Mom had to go to a coffee shop to do some focused work today..
- $9.11 for some travel supplies
Workout Wednesday
I’m back into running after a few weeks away because of weather and some other things that kept me busy. While it is hard to get back into it, one thing that was rewarding is that I was still able to do my three-mile runs in less than 30 minutes this week. To real hardcore runners that time is not so hot, but for me it is still an accomplishment to stay below a 10 minute mile for any run less than five miles. It’s nice when the workouts and running I have been doing still pay off – even after too much time away.
