Workout Wednesday: Buliding Strength

Delicious Vegan Dish of the Day:

Special treat for the G-man and I tonight – we got Ethiopian take-out after the kis went to bed.  And the Yesmir wot was super spicy – my favorite!

Money Matters:

Today we spent the following:

  • $7.49 for a bagel and drink at a coffee shop for Mom (while she worked)
  • $22.39 for our special Ethiopian take-out

Workout Wednesday

I’m continuing to run and train for the 1/2 marathon coming up.  As part of my training I’ve been trying to do a bodyweight workout shared with me by my running buddy.  It involves doing push-ups, squats and side planks to failure (in three sets, with 1 minute breaks) and then three minutes of jump squats.  It only takes me 25 minutes, but it really kicks my ass!  That, coupled with running some sprints, should help me build up some strength so I don’t completely embarrass myself in May with the Run to Remember.
