Workout Wednesday: Running by water

Delicious Vegan Dish of the Day:

I made chili for tonight which was kind of a bust.  I’m having trouble finding a good chili recipe for the slow-cooker, that also can be made a bit less spicy for the kiddos.  Any recipes/suggestions would be welcome!  For now I’ll just top my serving with some cayenne.

Money Matters:

Today we spent the following:

  • $38.52 for a tank of gas

Workout Wednesday

I’ve gone on two long runs the past weekends, thanks to a great friend/motivator/trainer.  We usually run down the Mystic river, but that trail pretty much is tapped out for a 7 mile run.  So, for our 11 and 13 mile runs I had to try something else.  We ended up on a route that went through a bike path, around Fresh Pond and down the Charles river.  For me there was no question that we should aim for water.  There is something enjoyable and soothing about running by the water.  My favorite part is running down the Charles while watching the rowers.  Well, actually, that is my second favorite part.  My real favorite part was finishing the 13 mile run without falling over.  That was definitely thanks to my running partner!
