Kiddo update:
On Tuesday we had to run an errand which just happened to be near J.P. Licks (or, as LP calls it, “the ice cream store” Also, he calls the falafel shop the “french fry” store). Since the monthly vegan specials were our favorite flavors (chocolate coconut and chai) we went out for ice cream. We got a medium to share, and scooped out a bit for LP in his own bowl. While we were digging into our ice cream IP started waving her arms around, and saying “ba ba ba ba!” I gave her a spoon, figuring that would placate her for a while, since utensils are her current favorite plaything. She waved it around for a minute, but then, she spotted the ice cream. Fast as lightning her little arm darted out and scooped some chocolate on that spoon. She looked up at me and the G-man (you aren’t going to stop this, are you? Come ‘on, my brother is getting some!) and then popped that spoon in her mouth. A huge smile came across her (now messy) face. Oh joy! she seemed to say. Or maybe Oh chocolate bliss!. Either way I can relate.
When we do go out for ice cream we all share a medium bowl. I’m starting to think it is time for me to get my own – the rest of them can duke it out for the shared ice cream!
