Well, this week we were officially buried in snow. Actually, only IP would have been truly buried since the snow was taller than her. However, we did have a lovely few snow days. Both kids went out during the blizzard and they were excellent shoveling helpers. On day 2, after the storm had passed, LP got really into sledding down the massive hill created by the plow on our street. I suspect we will go on more sledding adventures this weekend! By day 3 we were ready to get the heck out of the house, so we went to the Museum of Science. On day 4 Mom went back to work, LP went back to school, and the G-man said “Thank goodness!!”
Of course, before the snow storm we went to the store just like the entire population of New England. In fact, this storm warranted the highest level of warning on the French Toast Warning System so there were definitely a dearth of milk, bread, and eggs. As vegans though, we have a different stocking up plan. In fact, with huge quantities of dried beans and canned tomatoes on hand, we really could survive anything. But that doesn’t stop us from stocking up on some snow-day necessities:
You see, when we buckle down for a snow storm we mean business. There will definitely be cookies (chocolate chips), popcorn, hot chocolate, and mac n’ cheese with our favorite cashew cheese sauce. While we may not do a full-on french toast alert, we vegans sure know how to have a good time in a snow storm!

This was great! Thx for posting.
