Workout Wednesday: I Got My New Shoes On

Vegan Goodness:

Today we ate the following.

  • Breakfast: Blueberry Smoothies and biscuits for LP and Mom.
  • We enjoyed some delicious scones and muffins courtesy of our visiting friend.  Yum!
  • Lunch: The G-man made some pasta with homemade marinara and some italian spiced seitan.  And some strawberries for dessert!
  • Dinner: Bell pepper, red onion and olive pizza

Money Matters:

We had a great time with some friends and the G-man took the kids on a walk.  A good day – and nothing spent.

Workout Wednesday

In mid-December I bought a new pair of running shoes.  Part of me felt pretty silly buying $90 shoes when we are on such a tight budget.  But, it had been over three years since I last bought a pair of shoes and my knees were starting to feel it.  I’ve now been running several weeks in my new shoes and they feel great.  This year we are watching our purchases closely and I’m loathe to spend money on things that we don’t need.  But I figure this was a worthwhile purchase, especially since I made it at a local run/walk store.  And my knees are thanking me.
